Yesterday…and due to issues in the real world I am a day late posting this…would have been Douglas Adams‘ 61st birthday
International Towel Day is only 71 days away…actually, 72 when I’m typing this but after another rough work day, I’m half enough in the bag to know better than to post this while I’m writing it.
Okay…who am I kidding…72 days.
Douglas passed away on May 11, 2001…Douglas Noel Adams…the lead Hitchhiker.
As such, May 25…two weeks after his passing, has been deemed International Towel Day.
…so, you’re all invited to join us that day at the restaurant at the end of the universe. Just make certain that you know where your towel is. We’d love you to join us.
Remember to carry your towel on May 25…of course those of us who are fans know that it is for Douglas…but think of it this way, International Towel Day is the first observed day worldwide on the behalf of creativity and thinking outside not only “the box”…but any box.
