It is official, we (@strandedGF and myself) are going to Bristol for Eroticon 2014. Flight is booked, hotel is set (for Bristol, at least), and we are ready to go. I know how excited you must all be about this...no?...none of you at all? Damn. Of course, now we must wait four months before we actually do anything. Plan has us flying to Heathrow via Philadelphia...as somehow that is cheaper than flying direct from Toronto...arriving on March 6 for a two-hour car ride with friends to Bristol. At least there are no three-hour tours at sea involved. That leaves us with a night of play before the conference begins...something that we missed in Atlanta for Eroticon USA last year as we basically went straight from the airport to the [Read more...]
Sing it with me now! Although, it is bloody cold out there already...but IT'S SNOWING!!! Someone bring the rum...we're doing bodyshots!
Seems I missed it. November 15th was my third Blogiversary...I have written a few of these "review" pieces in the last three years and they always feel like one of those 1970s or 80s TV episodes where they go back and review the show in order to cheat from having to come up with an full original script. However, in another sense, it is fun to go back and read some of my old material. Okay, so how to begin... Once upon a time, on November 15, 2010 in a farmhouse about 20 KM northwest of Newmarket, Ontario, Canada... Yes, three years posting, first on the WordPress site, and now for about six months on my self-hosted site. Of course I have been writing a lot longer than that, but this site was when I first took it off the [Read more...]
Yes, all five have been posted somewhere on here...in fact all five were for previous Sinful Sunday posts. There were five tattoos on the Atheist Man... it seems no others lurking on this body anywhere else...but it is time for review. So, for the first time in one place and in the correct timeline order and including a brief description of why and how they happened... On St. Patrick's Day, 2004...the, then, Pagan Boy sat in a tattoo artist's chair for the first time. This was supposed to be a shamrock on top of a maple leaf in honor of his Irish-Canadian heritage. The artist, however, drew a clover. The boy missed it as well. In fact it was his mother, of all people, who pointed it out to one evening at the dinner table. October 6, [Read more...]
I was all ready with my normal story for Wicked Wednesday and then a rather major problem occurred...for starters, the story simply will not work in blog format. So was back to the drawing board this afternoon...however, then a thought occurred that was just too much to pass up. A DUEL POST FOR SINFUL SUNDAY AND WICKED WEDNESDAY!!! With the Wicked Wednesday prompt being "pain and pleasure" this week, this seemed oddly appropriate...and this may not be as sinful as some photos might seem (though to some it will be seen as a bigger sin than any sensual pic might be)...but finally got my Darwin fish. This pic was taken just this afternoon of the newest addition to the Stranded left arm, and tattoo #5...not quite four days old yet, having [Read more...]
This "blog"...this series of short stories began just about three years ago. You have no idea how thankful I am to have found an audience for my nasty writing habit. Now, however, it comes time to use a word that I adore...evolution. evolution ˌiːvəˈluːʃ(ə)n,ˈɛv-/ noun the process by which different kinds of living organism are believed to have developed from earlier forms during the history of the earth. the gradual development of something. "the forms of written languages undergo constant evolution" There is another step that I recently experienced a taste of, that needs to be taken. I have not asked anything of you before, and appreciate all of what you have given. The step from writing hobbyist to [Read more...]
Been forty-two hours since our plane lifted off from Atlanta...yes, 42...funny how that number won a boobie prize for one of the other Eroticon participants all because he had remembered my tattoo. It was truly a whirlwind weekend. As you will now see on the picture above as well as the sidebar to the right on my main page, plans are now in the works to attend in Bristol, UK. Not certain we will get there, but working on it. It is not cheap. Wonderful a country as Canada is, travel is not cheap. The fact that flying to Vancouver from my home in Toronto takes almost as much time as it would to fly to London is only part of it. A bloody big place...and speaking of London, will likely have to fly through there to get to [Read more...]
My 14 year old is standing behind a microphone and professionally recording some Broadway tunes as her Christmas present for her grandmother. Thus begins year 43 of this existence...as of today. Yes, she is really 14. Her sister is nearly 13. This is not easy to fathom as I still recall being that eight-year old with the rusted bike meeting his buddies behind the old Gulf service station to look at that first Playboy and feeling horribly guilty just flipping pages. Some days I still feel like that boy...others I wonder where he went. Either way, I have teenage daughters. I feel like my newest character in Adventures of Jamie as I keep thinking her opening line, How the hell did I get here? From the eight-year old altar boy to the [Read more...]
