Just posted this little teaser on my author Facebook page, and let's take this as my announcement of the third part of Director Jake...Director Jake and the Great Korean Whorehouse that will release December 31. Of course, part two, Director Jake in the Dungeon of Crimson, is still three weeks out, but I'm having too much fun returning to the old Jake stories that I will be going back for a break after completing Savannah. This teaser also offers an update on the first Director Jake cover which...if Kindle is kind (being tomorrow is a Yankee holiday, I've no idea) will be what you see on Amazon by mid-week.
Author's note: This is an excerpt from Director Jake in the Dungeon of Crimson, which will be available on Kindle June 17. Sensual overload. I’m not sure how else to describe Crimson Drake’s party. I’ve never experienced anything remotely like it. There were bodies everywhere and, being the reporter that I am I feel the need to mention that none of them were dead. Quite the opposite, in fact. “Karine? Are you okay?” It was Jake asking me and even with his masque his blue eyes showed his concern. I think I jumped on hearing his voice as the scene had taken me almost like the fog of war. My ears were ringing from all the orgasmic moans around me just as they would if a grenade went off beside me. Pulling myself together, I [Read more...]
The cage moved. It swung forward and back, almost to the beat of the tune wafting in from the overhead speakers. It was four feet from the floor, and the audience gave it a wide radius to avoid injury. The first time this had happened, Kara had been rather concerned. It had swung causing her to lose balance and crash against the side of steel bars. The bruises were odd and, unlike when Jon flogged her, not at all pleasant. She had learned, however. Learned to keep her balance as the cage moved. Learned to dance and keep rhythm even as the scene might spin around her. Tonight the scene was as usual as this place ever got. "I'm going to fuck Emma tonight," Jon had told her. He had zipped up the back of her dress earlier and [Read more...]
Author's note: Marie Rebelle was kind enough to let me pick this week's Wicked Wednesday prompt. This is my third attempt to write this piece as inspired by music...which is something my writing is always inspired by. This week also holds special meaning for me as tomorrow (May 11) marks fifteen years since the passing of Douglas Adams (Towel Day is May 25...tell your friends!). My first attempt was using the music of Level 42, a band who's very name shows how Douglas inspired them. The next attempt used Pink Floyd, a band that inspired Douglas. Both pieces that, with some work, will show up on these pages later. But then I realized, there was only one song I can use for this: Press play... "I liked their porn." "Carson, watch [Read more...]
"You have any limits I should be aware of?" Ellen pulled Travis by the hand through the park. "Limits? Well, I don't really want to get caught by the cops or anything." "Yeah, that's not why I do this either. I'm good being caught by others wanting to join in, but not being caught." "No pain and no humiliation." She nodded and glanced up at him. "The humiliation goes hand in hand with getting caught by authority type folks." "Yeah, and...where are we going?" The park was lush with the first spring growth. The asphalt path was black and still wet with the fresh melt of this year's snow. Ahead, two triangular sets of stone slabs allowed the walking path to continue beneath a road overhead. "The bridge," Ellen growled. [Read more...]
"So when can I suck your cock?" Ellen sipped her coffee but kept her eyes locked with his. A shiver drifted through Roland. He was uncertain whether the shock came from hearing the woman say that to him openly or if it was the cold breeze that Mother Nature had allowed to slip off the surrounding mountains in an attempt to point out that summer was not quite here. "I don't know; it seems so..." They sat together on the same side of the umbrellaed table. Her left hand was planted in his lap beneath the table. "Please," she said with a wave of her right hand, "I give you twenty minutes." "I like to think I last longer than that." "I should hope so, but we'll get to that." She laughed. "We should have gotten a beer instead of [Read more...]
You know, I'm bad. I change my mind. Just Prey - Savannah Book One was written using this band as a soundtrack: Darwin's Sword - Savannah Book Two was written using another brilliant musician: I had intended to use two British musicians as the soundtrack to complete the third. ...but something changed. I love that last tune, probably more than I love either of the first two. It just doesn't rock enough. I was mistaken. I love Jones' work...I love Kershaw's work...but neither are what I need to kick this job into full gear. The Orphan Sword needs rock n' roll. So, a redirect on the soundtrack that I am using during completion of The Orphan Sword. There are some complexities in this new book that require a [Read more...]
