Life Force – A Guest Post

Note from C.P. - I met Evgenia via a Fetlife connection. Ok, met is strong as on-line only even though we both live in the mystical realm of Toronto. One of these days, though... That said, the woman exudes sexuality and grace. I am pleased to offer her this space for tonight's guest post and, on first reading this, it was not what I was expecting. She simply impresses me more and more when I read her work. Enjoy and, if the words speak to you, please support her ... Life force   Deep within us lives a force – a powerful energy of self-expression, joy and ultimate pleasure. Deep within us exists an element that shape shifts. It burns in strongest passionate flames and simmers as it teases our senses. It flows calmly while [Read more...]

The Man of Orange and Mad-Eye

Being the Canadian that I am, please allow me to apologize in advance for this. I wanted this to be funny, but I simply cannot do it. Been awhile since I’ve discussed politics ‘round these here parts, but there have been some things going on lately that have my blood boiling. The problem is figuring out where to start. I know, I know; Julie Andrews says we should start at the very beginning, a very good place to start. How do you solve a problem like oppression? I've been sharing a lot of Facebook and Twitter posts about what has been reported in the news lately, and I've gotten some flack about it. Those that would have us keep our heads down and claim any news against their leaders is "hatred" say we should stop it and let [Read more...]

Anticipation of Belief

press play... Hi there. Welcome to the grand re-opening of my website. I've been away for awhile working on my novels, but time to kick this door back down. In the words of one Khan Noonien Singh during Star Trek Into Darkness, "Shall we begin?" There is a line in Elton's song above that caught my ear this evening. Those who think difference is the child of disease... The song is called "Believe" and is more than 20 years old now. Tonight was the first time I found that line and it just screamed out to me. I'd never thought about it that way, but it makes so much sense. This human experience has hypocrisy on levels most of us cannot even fathom. The Alphas talk of the road less traveled and how important it is to blaze [Read more...]

Limitless Skies

Press play: Good morning. It seems I missed last week's Wicked Wednesday prompt to promote my writing projects. It is my own bloody fault, of course, or this would have been part of that. Currently working on three new writing projects, two of which I have already shared; those being "Director Jake and the Great Korean Whorehouse" and "A Cold Saddle - Short Stories on Calgary". As I get through this, I will introduce both the third and a fourth. The latter is not so much a writing project but will shake the very fabrics of this website. Starting with Director Jake, the third in his series, and there is hope to have this ready for New Year's Eve. In this one, Jake will meet Suki, a character created by my friend Mucky Sod, [Read more...]

Please, It’s Melody

He heard her moans as he walked down the dark hall. He moved slowly with the carpet muting his footsteps. A louder pleasured scream came from the door at the end of the hall. The open door to his left allowed the noon sunlight to filter in. Glancing in revealed that room to be a full washroom with little toothbrushes and stains of fruity toothpaste around the sink. The towels hanging beside the window featured some character made of strawberries. A quieter moan filled the hall. His eyes turned to the end of the hall where the door was not fully closed, but a crack of light along the left showed it would be pushed open without restraint. Glancing at the walls, he saw the anonymous, seemingly happy family photos staring back at [Read more...]

A Blogiversay in Orange

Press play... This week marks my fifth blogiversay and this piece was to be my normal call out to friends, other writers, and thanks to my readers. This had been a disturbing enough week, that I can't do that. From a week where many of us expected the outcome was going to go one way, it was turned on its ear Tuesday at about 10pm Eastern Time. Hearing the reports out of the United States since then, I am now afraid to travel there. I am going to the Space Coast Book Lovers event in June, but even that I am nervous about. One particular Facebook post I shared got push back from some saying what is happening this week is not the fault of the racist, misogynistic, sexist candidate that won the U.S. election this week. It feels [Read more...]
